In December 2012, 3 village laws (Peraturan Kampung) came into force making the 2 no takes zones of Penemu and Bambu fully enforceable under Indonesian Law. This marks the final step in the (long!!) process to fully protect these areas for the next 25 years.
Strategically located in Rufus, the foundations for the lookout post are now well underway. Work on a small jetty in the lagoon has commenced and construction will continue over the coming 2 months. Our thanks to Max Ammer and Tertius of RARCC, and the owner of KM Hang Tuah for their continued support and assistance.
